What You Should Know
10-Year Limited Parts Warranty
Effective January 1, 2007, the standard, in-the-box limited warranties on all Goodman brand unitary products installed in an owner-occupied, single-family residence will provide 10-Year Parts Limited Warranty coverage to the original, registered homeowner. For this warranty to take effect, the unit in question must be registered with Goodman within 60 days after the original installation.
To subsequent homeowners and on unregistered products, the product in question will be covered by a 5-Year Parts Limited Warranty. Similarly, for installations other than owner-occupied, single-family residences, such as commercial installations and multi-family housing, the product will be covered by a 5-Year Limited Warranty.
The most exciting aspect of this new warranty is that for original, registered single-family residence owners, our value-priced Goodman brand 13 Seer Air conditioners and Heat Pumps will now be covered by a 10-Year Compressor Limited Warranty and a 10-Year Parts Limited Warranty. The current Lifetime Limited Warranties and Lifetime Unit Replacement Limited Warranties that are available on the compressors and heat exchangers on specific models will not be affected by these changes.
We will extend this new warranty coverage to any unit covered by a 5-Year compressor and/or Parts Limited Warranty that (1) was manufactured in 2006 and (2) is sold and installed in 2007.
