CFC Certification Testing
This school is offered periodically at Rogers Supply Company. The cost for the school is $150 per student, which includes study guide, review session, and all test fees
Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of appliances that contain regulated refrigerants, be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques as of November 14, 1994 .
There are four categories of technician certification:
Type I technicians: Persons who maintain, service, or repair small appliances
Type II technicians: Persons who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of high or very high-pressure appliances. This does not include small appliances and motor vehicle air conditioning systems
Type III technicians: Persons who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of low pressure appliances
Universal technicians: Persons who maintain, service, or repair both low and high-pressure equipment, as well as small appliances
